The elected representatives of their constituencies, we vote them in but still tend to hate them. Whether they're ignoring their own campaign promises, or kowtowing to corporate lobbyists, or missing out on their own duties as they ready for their reelection campaigns, politicians are usually doing too much of what we don't like and too little of what we do like. But with every contest, if there isn't a favored candidate, there is always one that is disliked less...

Last week, three prominent, young, Republican Party leaders — Rep. Eric Cantor, former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, and former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney — initiated a campaign to reshape the GOP.    Calling their organization the National Council for a New America, their goal is to connect Republican leaders with American voters with the hope of returning the GOP to dominance. Many commentators believe that such a goal will result in moderation of the Republican Party platform, especially with respect to social issues, including abortion and gay marriage.  The GOP's Old Gaurd, including former Vice President Dick Cheney and former presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, has come out in opposition to moderation.  Will it return Republican dominance if the party does move towards the center?

Lately I have heard rumblings about the upcoming President's cabinet picks. Oh it's just going to be the same people doing the same things, nothing will change.

I don't believe that at all. I believe that he picked the best people, the most qualified people for the jobs he's put them in, and with his leadership they will perform better and we can come out of this darkness.

The leader is the one who makes the difference, and I believe this leader has made good choices, and will make sure that his people perform their duties of office in quite a different manner than under the current administration.

When I watch Barak Obama speak I have hope. I feel proud to be an American for the first time in a long while. He's a good man who will do the right thing and make sure that his cabinet  members do the right thing also.

For the past eight years I have been suffering from what I call 'government induced pre-traumatic sgtress syndrome' or GIPTSD. I have been afraid. I didn't even realize how afraid until I realized that I'm not anymore. That is becaue Barak Obama is a man of integrity with a hard job ahead of him. I'm sure, in his wisdom, he has picked the people he thinks will help him to overcome the tremendous challenges that he faces as President.

Why would he surround himself with people who he believed would balk him or try to undermine his ideals. It just doesn't make any sense.

So all you nay sayers out there who think it's just going to be more of the same, think again.
