Several countries from the past to the present have modeled their governments and made their laws based on a state religion. Almost every country has had at least one predominant religion, which also became the basis for everyday life including politics. But by the Middle Ages, each nation or ruler had picked a state religion, such as Buddhism for Asoka, Islam for the Mughals, Christianity for Charlemagne and now to do this day state religions exist, especially in the Middle East. Islam is the center of everything in those nations with majority of the population Muslims, the federal law based on sharia law. However is it truly right for a nation to proclaim one religion above all?
